Day 14: Coco-Berry Bliss Juice

One of the reasons why I am so passionate about raw vegan living, is because of the tremendously inspiring community that comes with it. This lifestyle seems to attract the most vibrant and beautiful individuals, and I strongly believe that without these individuals, and without this community, I wouldn't be where I am today.

So I want to send out a huge thank you to each and every one of you. Thank you for being so passionate, thank you for loving food so much(!), thank you for being curious, and courageous, and truly inspirational.

Oh, and...It's Day 14! We have made it to the end of the 14-Day Juice Cleanse Challenge!

For those of you who have been following my 14-Day Juice Cleanse Challenge, it has been a delicious, juice-recipe packed two weeks. Like anything in life, there were ups and downs throughout this challenge, but overall it was a rip-roaring success!

I feel energized and healthy and stronger than ever before. This cleanse helped me detox not only physically, but emotionally as well. One of the most powerful lessons I learned during this journey was the ability to let go. To let go of habits, comforts, and addictions. To let go of your body and trust that it will take the right course toward healing and cleansing. And finally, to let go of judgement, of yourself and of others.

Letting go is detoxing. It is purging your mind and body of toxins and impurities. It is deeply healing, in itself.

Today's juice is called Coco-Berry Bliss. And it really is bliss. This recipe was inspired by a dear friend and colleague of mine Clare, from 360 Vegan. I adapted the recipe to include two of my all-time favourite summer flavours: basil and lime. The result is a zesty and gorgeous juice with an antioxidant punch and an array of natural electrolytes.

Coco-Berry Bliss

  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 lime
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 1-2 cups coconut water
  • 1 handful of basil (5-8 leaves)

My mouth is watering just typing out this ingredient list! Luckily I have a jar full of this delectable juice chilling in the refrigerator as we speak. And it will soon be in my tummy.

Peace & Love,
